Title: Accounts Assistant

Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time (Monday Friday 08:30 5:30)

Location: Inverness (free parking on site)

Salary: £26,000 – £30,000

Our client is looking to appoint a reliable and organised Accounts Assistant to join their team based in Inverness. Working within a small, family run business, the successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking a varied workload in a fast-paced role, ideal for someone with excellent organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing and reconciling sales and purchase invoices.
  • Carrying out additional account reconciliations.
  • Updating and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Daily use of Quickbooks and MS Office software as well as an in house database.
  • Operating with accuracy and attention to detail in all record keeping.
  • Diary management, scheduling, and booking appointments.
  • Managing customer accounts and dealing with all related queries.
  • Answering enquiries by telephone and email.
  • Dealing with colleagues, customers and other contacts in a professional manner.

The Ideal Candidate will have

  • Previous experience in a similar administration or accounts-based role.
  • Experience in a commercial office environment preferred but not essential.
  • Strong IT skills including financial software systems.
  • Strong organisational skills and capable of working effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail.
