Job Summary
We are seeking reliable and experienced 7.5 Tonne Drivers to operate various contracts throughout Lanarkshire. The ideal candidates will possess a valid driving licence for 7.5 tonne vehicles and have a strong background in commercial driving, particularly in delivery operations. This role involves delivering goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 7.5 tonne vehicle for the transportation of goods to various locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any queries or concerns from clients.
- Report any vehicle issues or incidents to management promptly.
Requirements
- Valid 7.5 tonne driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver, preferably with taillift vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and compliance requirements for commercial driving.
- Must be used to heavy lifting.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
