3.5 TONNE DRIVER – FURNITURE DELIVERY
WORKING 5 DAYS OUT OF 7 – INCLUDING WEEKENDS

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 3.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Livingston, EH54.

Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a 3.5 Tonne Driver will involve but not be limited to:
- Operate and drive various 3.5 Tonne vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Delivering furniture to customer homes with exceptional customer service
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as needed
- Will involve lifting and carrying
Essential Skills
As a 3.5 Tonne Driver you will need to:
- Hold a valid UK Category B Driving Licence
- Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving Category B vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
- Must have good knowledge of UK road network
- Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
- Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Effective communication skills
- Reasonable level of physical fitness as role involves lifting and carrying
Desirable Experience
- Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
- Previous experience of multi drop deliveries will be beneficial
Training
- Training provided and Driver’s Assessment must be completed
