Role Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join the Inpatient ANP team within the Edinburgh Cancer Centre. The successful applicant will be a suitably qualified and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner with a keen interest in Cancer Care and treatments. You will join an already established ANP team that works across all tumour groups in Multidisciplinary teams and supports the on call telephone triage team within the Centre at the Western General Hospital. The role is varied, and post holders are actively involved in the development of the service. It’s an exciting time to be involved in Cancer Services and this post offers a unique opportunity for interested nurses to further their career within Cancer Care.

Qualifications and Requirements

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

Legislative and Security Checks

Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check than is currently the case. If the post is assessed as a “regulated role”, your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. If there is any change to what is currently required, this will be confirmed by either the Hiring Manager or the Recruitment Team.
