Job Description

Role Overview

NHS Lothian is recruiting a Laundry Assistant based at St Johns Hospital. The role provides high quality washing and finishing services for bedding, linen, uniforms, patient clothing and theatre wear to all users of the Laundry Service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely processing and delivery of required items to all wards and departments.
  • Maintain high quality standards and safety for all staff while operating the laundry.
  • Keep all areas topped up with adequate numbers of items to support service delivery and patient dignity.

Shift Pattern & Working Hours

Monday to Thursday 15:00 – 22:00 and Friday 09:00 – 15:00.

Salary & Working Hours

Part time; salary calculated on a pro rata basis.
