Job Description
Position
NHS Dumfries and Galloway are looking for two Dental Therapist Tutors based at the Dumfries Dental Centre. One full-time post (36 hours per week) and one part-time post (28.8 hours per week, 4 days a week). Candidates may be considered for both posts unless they specify a preference.
Responsibilities
- Deliver the University of Highlands and Islands, BSc Oral Health Science course as part of a tutor team spanning Dumfries, Inverness and Stornoway.
- Teach student classes and support practical training sessions.
- Use video conferencing systems and the virtual learning environment for remote teaching.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Registered with the General Dental Council (GDC).
- Experience in education or willingness to undertake training in education.
- Familiarity with IT systems for video conferencing and virtual learning environments.
- Must obtain or already have PVG clearance.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom; for candidates requiring a work visa, eligibility must be confirmed before application.
- Full United Kingdom registration with the appropriate professional council (e.g., NMC, HCPC, GMC, GDC) for roles requiring professional registration.
