Job Description

We are looking for a nurse/suitable professional to lead the implementation of a health, wellbeing and recovery service within the NHS Dumfries and Galloway Bairns Hoose.

The successful applicant will work with a supportive multi agency Bairns Hoose team to design, deliver and evaluate services and supports for children and young people who have experienced or witnessed abuse.

The post holder will be based at Mountainhall Treatment Centre and may travel to other NHS and multi agency sites.

This is a fixed term role until 31 March 2027; job share may be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of a health, wellbeing and recovery service for children and young people.
  • Collaborate with multi agency partners to design, deliver and evaluate the service.
  • Ensure support services meet the needs of children and families affected by abuse.
  • Coordinate and oversee service delivery across multiple sites.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of service outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children, young people and families.
  • Experience working with multi agency colleagues.
  • Good knowledge of child protection processes.
  • Clinical or professional nursing background.
