The Opportunity:
The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies is seeking a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) based within the Hospital for Small Animals on Easter Bush Campus, just outside Edinburgh. The successful applicant will join our established ECC team, and will share supervision of our combined emergency receiving and ICU services within our well-equipped multidisciplinary teaching hospital.
Responsibilities will include clinical, teaching and research with a clinical focus. An important aspect of the role is participation in the delivery and assessment of the BVM&S undergraduate teaching programme. The R(D)SVS also has a strong tradition of research, with excellent collaborative links both on campus and within the wider university providing many exciting opportunities for both clinical and basic science research.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week) for a fixed term of 12 months.
The salary for this post starts at £50,253 (UE08) or £63,606 (UE09) per annum according to experience plus Market Force Supplement (reviewed annually, currently 8%), and CPD allowance.
The majority of your time will be spent on the clinic processing specialist referral cases. This includes clinical teaching of final year undergraduate students
