SOLICITOR OR PARALEGAL (Role in Inverness, north of Scotland), UK.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of Executry matters from instruction through to completion.
  • Prepare and assist with Wills, including advising clients on updates and amendments.
  • Handle Powers of Attorney work, ensuring documents are completed accurately and in line with client instructions.
  • Provide clear, professional advice to clients and keep them informed throughout the process.
  • Work independently while maintaining effective communication with the wider team.
  • Ensure case files are maintained to a high standard, with appropriate documentation and attention to detail.
  • Support the smooth running of the department by prioritising tasks effectively and meeting deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Qualified Solicitor or experienced Paralegal with a strong background in Executry.
  • Solid knowledge of Wills and Powers of Attorney.
  • Confidence managing your own caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when preparing legal documents.
  • Excellent client communication skills, with the ability to explain legal matters clearly.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Professional approach, discretion and empathy when dealing with sensitive private client matters.
  • Competence in using case management systems and Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook) to support day-to-day work.
