Catering Assistant/Cook

Job Description

Were looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Community Caf Cook to prepare fresh, tasty and affordable caf food at MACPool. Working closely with our Caf Manager, youll help develop menus, daily specials and seasonal dishes while delivering great-quality food in a welcoming community environment.

As

Community Café Cook, you will take day-to-day responsibility for preparing, cooking and presenting fresh, tasty and affordable food within the MACPool Community Café.

hands-on role where you’ll be involved in all aspects of the kitchen, from food preparation and service to stock management, ordering, food safety, cleaning and maintaining excellent hygiene standards.

We want someone who is passionate about

great café food done well. You’ll be encouraged to bring your own ideas, contribute to menu development, create daily and seasonal specials and help us develop an appealing food offer that is affordable for our community while being commercially sustainable.

You’ll work as part of a small, friendly café team, helping to create a welcoming environment for families, older people, young people, MACPool customers and the wider community.

We’re looking for someone who is

organised, reliable and confident working independently, particularly during morning preparation periods, while also enjoying being part of a team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with catering or kitchen experience who would like to have some creative freedom and play an important part in developing a
