The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is a well-established charity located within Bellahouston Park, Glasgow. The hospice provides specialist palliative care for people with a life-limiting, progressive illness, and support for their families and carers.

Are you an experienced retail professional with a passion for delivering excellent customer service and making a difference in your local community?

The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Shop Manager to lead our retail store in Govan. This is a rewarding opportunity to use your retail and people management skills to generate vital income that helps provide outstanding hospice care across our communities.

About the Role

As Shop Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the shop, maximising sales and profitability, and ensuring an excellent experience for customers and donors alike. You will lead and support a dedicated team of volunteers, helping to create a welcoming and successful retail environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving sales and achieving agreed income targets
  • Managing stock, merchandising and shop presentation
  • Delivering exceptional customer service
  • Managing cash handling and banking procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety and retail procedures
  • Promoting the Hospice within the local community

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience managing or supervising a team
  • Strong communication and organisational abilities
  • A positive, flexible and proactive approach
  • The ability to motivate and support volunteers

Experience in charity retail would be advantageous but is not essential.
