We areseekingcaring and empathetic Healthcare Assistants to join our dedicated team here in Glasgow, delivering exceptional end-of-life care to people across Glasgow City delivering our Hospice Care at Home service. In this rewarding role,you’llprovide vital support to patients and their families in the comfort of their own homes, helping themmaintaindignity,comfortand quality of life during some of life’s most challenging moments.

What you will be doing:

No two days are the same. Working independently and alongside colleagues,you’lltravel throughout the community, providing personalised care tailored toeach individual’sneeds and circumstances. Your kindness,professionalismand ability to build meaningful connections will have a lasting impact on those we support.

As a Healthcare Assistant,you’lldeliver hands-on personal care,assistwith medication, support daily living activities and, whererequired, help with meal preparation.You’llbe part of a fast-paced service supporting people recently discharged from hospital, those with palliative care needs, and individuals approaching the end of life.

Working closely with District Nurses, Health and Social Care Partnership teams, hospicecolleaguesand wider multidisciplinary professionals,you’llplay a key role in ensuring seamless, compassionate care. While much of your work will be supporting patients in their own homes, there may also be occasions whereyou’llprovide support to teams within the hospice environment.

Whatwe’relooking for:

A minimum of six months’ recent experience delivering care in a health or social care setting

A full UK driving licence and access to a car for travel across Glasgow

A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to respond to changing service needs and priorities.

Willingness to work acrossdifferent locationsand travel within the designated area asrequiredto support patients,familiesand colleagues.

A relevant Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care, such as NVQ Level 2, NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Healthcare Support Services, BTEC Level 2, or an equivalent.
Registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), or willing to register upon appointment

Ability to work effectively as part of a team, while also being confident working independently whenrequired

What’s in it for me?

Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 2 (aligned with AFC) £26,696 to £28,988 pro rata per annum

Contract: Permanentpart-time3positionsavailable, hours up to 33 hours perweek, variedshift patterns between (8.00am to 8.00pm)
