Are you passionate about using sport and physical activity to create opportunities, inspire people and change lives? Do you have the skills to skills to build positive relationships with young people, the school community and wider partners? If so, we want to hear from you!
As an Active Schools Assistant, you will play a key role in taking a child-centred approach to work with young people, either through 1-2-1 work, small group provision or supporting PE classes. This will be a varied and evolving remit, guided by the school, however the importance of positive relationships and using sport and physical activity for positive change will remain at the core.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take a child-centred approach to activity provision, ensuring accessibility for all
- Support children’s rights and advocate for children
- Work collaboratively with school staff, Sport Aberdeen colleagues, local partners, and young people to evolve provision
