Job Description
This opportunity is only open to applicants who are currently ‘Priority Movers’. Applications from individuals not currently on the Priority Mover list will be rejected and not considered.
Are you looking for a dynamic case management role and an opportunity to develop skills in diverse areas such as risk management, whilst contributing to the management of restricted patients in Scotland?
An opportunity has arisen for a capable, committed individual to join the Restricted Patient Team as a Case Manager – a challenging, interesting, varied role in a supportive, friendly unit. We support Scottish Ministers in discharging their responsibilities in the oversight of restricted patients – mentally disordered offenders sent to hospital by the courts, or prisoners transferred to hospital.
This post sits within a busy and committed team. The Team Leader is supported by two Senior Casework Development Leads and the team consists of four Senior Casework Managers, seven Casework Managers (including this post) and five hub members. Each Case Manager is responsible for managing a caseload of restricted patients.
When considering this post, the nature of the work means that you will be required to consider sensitive, often graphic, background/offence details. Accessible support is available, but it is important to consider this when applying.
