Job Description
An exciting opportunity hascome up to join the University’s Legal Services team as a newly qualifiedsolicitor. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the appointee to this rolewill carry out a range of commercial and intellectual property work across theUniversity.
Dutiesand responsibilities will include negotiating and drafting of commercialcontracts and agreements, providing legal and associated advice, and being partof a team which contributes to risk management and exploitation ofcommercial opportunities for the University’s Schools and ProfessionalServices. You will have the opportunity to develop your own areas of interestand relationships with colleagues to allow you to lead on different projects orareas of growth for the University, particularly as it expands its digital andonline offerings.
Experiencein a role in a University together with an understanding of or an interest in intellectualproperty and the Higher Education sector would be advantageous.
