Job Description

Responsible for: Front of House Manager, Bar & Events Manager, Building & Facilities Manager

Key Relationships: Board of Directors, Senior Management Team

Salary: £55,000 per annum

Contract: Permanent, full time (1.0 FTE)

Purpose of the role

The Operations Director is a senior leadership role with responsibility for the operational life of the Citizens Theatre.

You will ensure that:

The building functions safely, efficiently, and sustainably

Audiences and visitors receive an outstanding welcome and experience

We have the systems, compliance frameworks, and commercial infrastructure needed to thrive

You will contribute to strategic planning and organisational development as a member of the Senior Management Team and also attend meetings of the Board of Directors.

The role is responsible for a range of functions and managing a team of departmental leads across Operations.
