About the Role
We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong pipeline of work across Scotland. Due to continued growth, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Site Engineer / Setting Out Engineer to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure and civil engineering projects, including roads, drainage, utilities, earthworks, bridges, renewable energy and water infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out accurate setting out using Total Stations, GPS and surveying equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Produce as-built surveys and maintain accurate site records.
- Ensure works are completed safely, accurately and in line with project specifications.
- Supervise subcontractors and provide technical support on site.
- Complete quality inspections and maintain QA documentation.
- Promote high standards of health & safety across all site activities.
- Liaise with Site Managers, Project Managers, clients and the wider project team.
About You
To be successful, you’ll have:
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer or Setting Out Engineer.
- A background in civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Experience using Leica, Trimble or Topcon surveying equipment.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- A Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- A valid CSCS Card.
- A full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable qualifications include SMSTS/SSSTS, First Aid, Temporary Works, CAT & Genny or NRSWA.
