Stratum Masonry is offering an exciting opportunity for a Stonemasonry Apprentice to join our dedicated team. This is a chance to learn from skilled craftsmen, work on diverse projects, and contribute to the restoration and creation of beautiful stonework.
Responsibilities:
- Learn Traditional Craftsmanship: Receive hands-on training in the art of stonemasonry, mastering techniques that have been passed down through generations.
- Assist Skilled Craftsmen: Work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to the repair, restoration, and creation of stonework on various projects.
- Stone Analysis and Selection: Participate in stone analysis processes, understanding how to identify and select natural stone for compatibility in historical fabric.
- Operate Specialized Equipment: Gain proficiency in using specialized tools and equipment, including our superheated cleaning machine for gentle yet effective restoration.
- Contribute to Project Pride: Take pride in contributing to projects in and around Glasgow, Edinburgh, Ayrshire, and beyond, preserving architectural heritage.
