Practice Nurse
Job Description
Inverkeithing Medical Group is a large, forward-thinking practice serving approximately 18,700 patients across our two sites (Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay). We are seeking a pro-active, forward thinking Practice Nurse to join our nursing group.
We are a well-established multidisciplinary team comprising:
- 12 GP Partners
- 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners
- 5 Practice Nurses
Supported by a wider team including:
- A large CTAC team
- Physiotherapy
- Mental Health Nurse
- In-house Pharmacist

Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the management of long term conditions: Asthma / COPD, Diabetes, Coronary Heart Disease
- Monitor chronic disease in line with protocols, including prescribing adjustments
- Arrange and interpret blood tests
- Deliver cervical screening
- Provide contraceptive services and HRT
- Deliver lifestyle advice and health promotion
- Provide day to day support to the nursing team
- Act as a role model for high clinical and professional standards
- Contribute to service planning and quality improvement initiatives
- Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive team culture
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (NMC)
- Experience in General Practice chronic disease management
- Cervical screening competence
Compensation & Contract
Salary: Competitive based upon experience
