NHS LOTHIAN LOCUM APPOINTMENT FOR SERVICE IN NEUROLOGY Royal Infirmary Edinburgh

Applications are welcome for the above fixed term, full time (40 hours per week) post based in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.
This is LAT post in Neurology for 1 year. The post will entail all aspects of neurology registrar training, and will rotate through several roles including:
- the ward registrar role
- participating in the acute neurology service (attending the Emergency Department and Acute Medical Unit, managing acute GP referrals and undertaking rapid access clinics)
- undertaking subspecialty clinics
The role includes an on call commitment with a 1:8 rota (non-resident).
Included in the role is regular training, including weekly departmental academic afternoons with lectures and clinical cases, and monthly regional neurology training days.
The post does not have educational approval from the Postgraduate Dean and will not be recognised for training.
