Salary Range: $32.50 to $33.20 per hour pending experience

Role Overview

We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated School Officer – Assisting Student Learning (Prep) to work in a fixed-term, term-time capacity completing 25 hours per week, commencing Term 3, 2026 and concluding on 4th December 2026.

In this role, you’ll nurture curiosity and a love of learning by providing hands on support in the classroom, assisting students with their individual learning goals, and helping to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. With patience, empathy, and understanding, you’ll build strong connections with students – supporting their confidence and wellbeing as they learn and grow.

You’ll work closely with teachers to monitor progress, celebrate achievements, and provide meaningful feedback that encourages each learner to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
  • Commitment to child safety and adherence to the Queensland Government’s No Card, No Start policy.
  • Licence to hold a paid Blue Card upon commencement.
