Consultant in Adult Psychiatry – Perth
Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full time hours per week for our client’s team based in Perth, Perthshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short term contract. Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of adults, evaluating mental health challenges, personal history, and symptoms.
- Formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to each person’s needs and goals.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver high quality, person centred care.
- Oversee therapeutic interventions, including medication management and crisis interventions.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimise care.
- Contribute to risk assessments and development of management strategies to ensure safety and well being.
Qualifications and Experience
- Full GMC licence to practice.
- Registered on the Section12 Specialist Register (CCT).
- Proven experience in relevant field of adult psychiatry.
