Role Overview
Lead Buyer within the procurement team of the Finance Directorate. This key role supports the Buyers and utilises the procurement journey and tools across NHS Fife to control spend and deliver best value, ensuring adherence to the organisation’s Standing Financial Instructions and implementing sustainability and value through local, regional and national contracts, as well as the effective use of e Procurement systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide essential support to Buyers across the procurement cycle.
- Control spend and deliver best value across NHS Fife.
- Ensure adherence to Standing Financial Instructions.
- Implement sustainability and value through local, regional, and national contracts.
- Use and support e Procurement systems effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
- Supervisory experience in a large organisation.
- Experience working in a customer or user focused organisation.
- HNC or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Excellent communication, planning, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and workload to deliver effective services and successful performance.
Working Arrangements
Flexible hybrid working pattern: home and office based in Hayfield House, Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy, Fife.
