Hours: Full Time (Site based – 37 hours per week). Location(s): Livingston, Scotland (with some travel to Glenrothes). Security Clearance Requirements: Baseline. Role and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the production line; address queries and challenges from Production Floor personnel (mainly around HLA/Cell areas).
  • 2nd line support for line stop issues; escalate complex issues to Engineering teams as needed.
  • Perform preventative (scheduled) maintenance tasks.
  • Review manufacturing performance metrics; report anomalies or trends, determine root cause and corrective & preventative actions.
  • Assist Engineering with investigations and initiatives.
  • Support PRB/NCMR reviews (driving thorough RCCA).
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Maintain MES routers and create/edit Work Instructions.
  • Support tooling & equipment requirements, including maintenance, calibration, replacement, and raising purchase requisitions.
  • Support Environmental, Health & Safety standards and requirements; participate in audit and verification activities as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Qualification – HNC in Manufacturing / Process Engineering or similar; previous experience and knowledge to determine competence.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and requirements.
  • Knowledge of MES systems (e.g. Visiprise).
  • Basic data analysis techniques; ability to extract data from MES/SAP and perform spreadsheet analysis.
  • Energetic self-starter; able to generate ideas and initiate action.
  • Ability to take direction and work as an active contributor to a team.
  • Competent communicator – written and verbal; able to simplify technical information for Operations staff.
  • PC literacy with MS Office packages.
  • Hands-on approach to issues on the production line.

Desirable

  • Interest in manufacturing or engineering; flexible to work other shifts and extra hours if required.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing software packages (Minitab, SAP, MES Systems).
  • Interest in critical thinking and problem solving.
