About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Healthcare Support worker within Theatre and Endoscopy. Surgical Suite encompasses day case, elective general surgery, cataracts, oculoplastics, dentals, gynaecology, recovery and endoscopy.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and self motivated individual to provide an efficient and high quality theatre service. This is an excellent opportunity to work within various specialities in a Rural General Hospital. The successful applicant will be a good team player with excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in this field of nursing.
Experience within the peri operative care setting is desirable. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to increase their clinical skills to provide and promote high standards of patient care and will be expected to complete competences in Endoscopy.

This is a permanent full time 37 hour post, working Monday to Friday with shifts subject to service requirements. Overnight and weekend on call rotations may be required to cover sickness or leave. Successful applicants should ideally be a car driver or be able to attend the hospital within 30 minutes. Job share applicants and part time hours may be considered.
Key Qualifications
- Band 3 or Band 2 Healthcare Support Worker with evidence of SCQF level 6 or equivalent training or experience.
- Experience within the peri operative care setting desirable.
- Willingness to complete competences in Endoscopy.
- Good team working and communication skills.
- Interest in building a career pathway in theatre services.
Employment Details
