Position

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and efficient individual for a Clinical Audit Co ordinator within our Managed Clinical Network (MCN) Stroke team based at University Hospital Crosshouse.

Hours and Shift Pattern

24 hours per week, Monday to Friday (permanent).

What you will do

You will provide a comprehensive clinical audit and data management service for the Managed Clinical Network for Stroke, ensuring the collection and maintenance of high-quality clinical data for audit purposes to meet quality assurance of the MCN and the Information Service Division (ISD) National Stroke Audit. The clinical audit co ordinator will ensure that the collection, processing and analysis of the Scottish Stroke Care Audit, including pending audit forms and associated filling, is progressed timeously, effectively and efficiently in line with the National and local standards, processes and procedures. The job requires collecting data from a variety of areas including hospital wards and providing admin support to MCN office on an adhoc basis.

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job

• Educated to HNC/HND level in business administration/ IT or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Evidence of NHS experience, preferably in clinical audit or medical records
• Proficient in Excel, Access and other databases including design and analysis
• Competence in MS office software packages
• Have the skill to collect, analyse, interpret and report data comparison
• Knowledge of appropriate Scottish Executive HDL and Scottish Government CEL on Managed clinical Networks, Scottish Stroke Care Standards and national and local strategies involving Heart Disease and Stroke

Full UK Driving Licence

Full UK driving licence is essential to this role.
