Job Overview

Applications are invited from highly motivated individuals to join the Pharmacy Procurement team in the Pharmacy Department, Ninewells Hospital.

The successful applicant will be key to ensuring continuity of medicines supply for NHS Tayside patients. The role includes medicines sourcing, ordering and contributing to financial governance through the supervision of timely and accurate invoice reconciliation. The post holder must have excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate coding, identification and selection of medicines for purchasing and invoicing.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and reliable individual who can undertake these duties efficiently within a busy department, integrating well with the rest of the team.

The ability to use your initiative and reflect NHS Tayside values is essential.

The role is both interesting and challenging, contributing to an essential service for NHS Tayside patients on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuity of medicines supply for NHS Tayside patients.
  • Perform medicines sourcing, ordering and contribute to financial governance.
  • Supervise timely and accurate invoice reconciliation.
  • Ensure accurate coding, identification, and selection of medicines for purchasing and invoicing.
  • Liaise with internal customers and external suppliers.
  • Maintain mandatory induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland.
  • Comply with the Code of Conduct throughout employment.
