Instrumental Music Instructor
Multiple Locations across City
Salary: £36,687 – £48,762
Hours: 35 per week
We are looking for a highly skilled Instrumental Music Instructor who is passionate and driven, to provide excellent learning experiences for all pupils.
Responsibilities
Teach upper string lessons in various schools across Edinburgh and be part of a dynamic and friendly music service. Provide learning experiences for all pupils.
Qualifications
- Experience in instrumental teaching.
- Sound knowledge of the current curriculum.
- Preparing pupils for SQA and external exams.
- Experience working with groups and ensembles.
Regulatory & Pre Employment Checks
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out of the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both of these pre employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
Salaries
Salaries will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
