Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). The successful candidate will have clinical responsibility for their own caseload and will work within the Choice and Partnership Approach (CAPA) to improve access to psychological therapies for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and clinical management for individual patient caseloads.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including clinicians, psychologists, play therapists, allied health professionals and support staff.
- Engage with children, young people, families and stakeholders using excellent communication skills.
- Apply current evidence based treatment approaches such as CBT, IPT, FBT, family systemic therapy and other specialist modalities.
- Participate in monthly CPD programmes and local CAMHS training groups to support continued professional development.
- Receive line management and multi disciplinary supervision to facilitate professional reflection and growth.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Registered Nurse (RN) with relevant nursing registration.
- Experience working in a CAMHS or similar child and adolescent mental health setting.
- Knowledge and application of evidence based treatments (CBT, IPT, FBT, family systemic therapy, etc.).
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with children, young people, families and colleagues.
