Position
Staff Nurse – Permanent – Biggart Hospital – 22 hours per week.
Hours
22 hours per week. A flexible approach to shift patterns, including night duty, is required. From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced by one hour, with full time hours decreasing from 37 to 36 hours pro rata for part time staff without loss of earnings.
What you will do
You will work within a 20 bedded rehabilitation ward (Urquhart Ward). Working with minimal supervision and in collaboration with the multi disciplinary team, you will be accountable for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care for a defined caseload of patients, while adhering to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months post registration experience, or be a new registrant who has been nominated for NMC registration but was unsuccessful in the block NHS Ayrshire and Arran interview process.
- Motivated, self driven with a commitment to delivering a high standard of individualised care in a rehabilitation setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
- Desire to enhance and further develop clinical skills.
