Job Description

Overview

  • End-to-End Project Delivery – Take full accountability for delivering EPC projects to specification, budget, and schedule, ensuring customer satisfaction at every stage.
  • Leadership & Team Coordination – Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Finance, EHS, Quality, and Contracts.
  • Stakeholder Management – Build strong relationships with internal teams, clients, and external partners, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Financial & Commercial Oversight – Manage project budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure effective cost control and resource utilisation.
  • Risk & Issue Management – Identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively, while managing claims, deviations, and root cause analysis to drive continuous improvement.
  • Planning & Execution – Ensure all project activities are clearly defined, scheduled, and delivered in line with key milestones and contractual requirements.
  • EHS Leadership – Champion a strong safety culture by embedding EHS into all project decisions and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
  • Quality Leadership & Assurance – Champion a culture of quality excellence by embedding quality requirements into all project decisions, ensuring deliverables meet contractual specifications, and driving continuous improvement through effective non-conformance management and compliance with GE Vernova’s Quality Management System.
  • Tender & Delivery Support – Support tender validation by reviewing delivery models, commitments, risks, and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience delivering transmission projects within the UK market.
  • Strong understanding of UK regulations, standards, and established ways of working.
  • Experience through working on Grid substations with major UK network operators such as National Grid, SSE, or UK Power Networks.
  • Degree in Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience managing EPC or large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery across engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
  • Experience working in complex, multi-disciplinary and international environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and interfaces effectively.
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
