Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, person centred nursing care to individuals in police custody and SARCS settings.
- Undertake forensic medical examinations and act as a forensically trained chaperone in line with HIS standards.
- Work collaboratively with Forensic Medical Examiners, Police Custody Officers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest standards of evidence collection and chain of custody.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse (Adult/Mental Health) with current NMC registration.
- Willingness to undertake additional training, including Non Medical Prescribing and Forensic Examination skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and make clinical decisions in a fast paced environment.
- Advanced clinical examination skills / Evidence of further education in areas such as Minor Injury/Illness, or willingness to undertake further education.
Desirable
- Experience in custody healthcare or forensic nursing.
- Experience in Emergency medicine, acute care or primary care.
