Contract: 1 Permanent full time position, 35 hours per week

Location : National Centre, 69 North Gyle Terrace, Edinburgh, EH12 8JY

Who we are

Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. Our aim is to make sure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers and families, we campaign for the rights of people with dementiaand fund vital dementia research.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the knowledge, skills and practice of the Alzheimer Scotland workforce.
  • Support the development and delivery of high quality learning.
  • Embed the Promoting Excellence Framework, ensuring staff and volunteers deliver high quality, person centred, rights based support.
  • Lead on practice based education, qualifications, regulatory training and workforce development across the organisation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered healthcare professional with experience in workforce development.
  • Strong ability to design, develop and deliver high quality, engaging training programmes.
  • Experience interpreting and delivering third party training.
  • Excellent written skills to create clear, impactful learning content.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead the implementation of plans to achieve objectives and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Understanding of the Promoting Excellence Framework desirable.
  • Excellent digital and IT skills, including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Proof of right to work in the UK required; subject to a PVG check through Disclosure Scotland.
