Deputy Site Security Manager Hybrid working arrangement: 3 days per week on site (based on full time hours) Working hours: Full time or part time hours available As the Deputy Site Security Manager this role is defined as the person accountable / responsible for the daily security operations on a number of smaller Thales UK Sites and is the Facility Security Controller (FSC) locations that require one.Key Responsibilities: Key Tasks Summary Oversee coordination and execution of site security operations covering physical, material, document, personnel, and information security, ensuring Facility Security Clearance (FSC) maintenance and acting as site point of contact with accreditors. Implement security policies and processes per corporate governance within the Chorus referential system. Participate in site management meetings and assist with internal and external audits. Develop, implement, and maintain the Site Security Plan (SSP) and site security risk register. Manage issuing, storage, mustering, and destruction of classified assets. Advise site management, PSOs, IAOs, employees, and Site Security Contacts (SSCs) on security matters, including Security Grading Guides and Security Aspects Letters (SALs). Support F1686 approvals for UK subcontractors and overseas collaborations, and oversee IVCO notifications for government visits and Letters of Intent (LOI). Collaborate with third-party service providers to manage manned guarding contracts. Maintain Thales site and relevant HMG accreditations. Lead security awareness campaigns for staff and contractors. Liaise with customers and subcontractors to ensure secure contract execution. Interface with project managers and stakeholders to embed security compliance according to standards such as ISO27001:2013, HMG Security Policy Framework, JSP 440 (MOD), UK legislation, and others. Support Information Asset Owners (IAOs) in risk identification and treatment. Promote awareness of current HMG and company security requirements and ensure implementation. Report and investigate suspected security breaches, recommending corrective actions as needed. This role requires Security Clearance (SC). It would be advantageous if currently held, however, if not currently held, it is a requirement that the successful applicant undergo, achieve, and maintain SC Clearance prior to commencing employment.To be eligible for full SC, you generally need to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.
