Salary: £33,556.00 – £39,580.00 GBP. Annual pension: A Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97%.
About the role:
As a Data Quality Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring organisational data is accurate, reliable and fit for purpose, supporting effective decision-making and an excellent customer experience. You will work closely with Data Owners and stakeholders across the business to design and implement robust data quality processes, investigating and analysing data quality issues, identifying root causes and recommending solutions, while defining and monitoring data quality rules, controls and performance metrics. You’ll collaborate with cross functional teams to promote best practice, support governance activities and drive continuous improvement in data quality across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Data Owners and stakeholders across the business to design and implement robust data quality processes.
- Investigate and analyse data quality issues, identify root causes and recommend remedial actions.
- Define and monitor data quality rules, controls and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to promote best practice and support governance activities.
- Drive continuous improvement in data quality across the organisation.
Requirements:
- A demonstrable understanding of data quality principles, data management frameworks and best practice approaches to improving data integrity.
- Experience analysing complex data sets, identifying issues and performing root cause analysis to support effective remediation.
- A demonstrable understanding of database design, data structures, schema design and data mapping concepts.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and partner with stakeholders to embed data quality standards across the business.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present insights and produce clear, data driven reports.
- Experience defining data quality rules, metrics and performance indicators to monitor and improve data over time.
- A demonstrable understanding of data protection requirements and governance standards.
- Previous experience working with data quality tools or supporting data quality improvement initiatives in a complex environment.
