About therole

We’relooking for an experienced and motivated Reception Team Leaderto join our friendly and supportiveGP Practice.This is a hands on,leadership position focused onco ordinatingandleadingtheReception team and Practice’sday to day operations as well as working alongside our other Reception Team Leaders and Trainer to coach, develop and support our ten personReceptionteamto delivera patient experience which is of the highest possible quality.

You’ll workclosely with a wide range of clinicians and other members of the Practice’s administrative and Management teamson a daily basis, andlead by example interms ofprovidingprofessional, helpful and non judgmental customer serviceatevery patient contact.

Whatyou’ll be doing

  • Leading and supporting the team during busy daily operations
  • Coordinating and managing daily operations, including the appointment book, Reception rotas and daily workload
  • You’ll be thego to person for support and guidance
  • Supporting colleagues with complex or challenging situations
  • Working with the wider Management teamtoimprove how we deliver services to patients
  • Delivering trainingandcoachingto supportcontinuous development
  • Supportingpatients toaccess to care while maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with NHS and Practice policies.

Whatwe’relookingfor

  • Minimum oftwoyears’ experience in General Practice
  • Confidenceusing the Vision clinical system, Docmanand other systems
  • Experience in leadership, training or coaching others
  • Excellentcustomer service,communication and interpersonal skills
  • Someone who’s calm, organised andthrives workingin a busy environment
  • Existing clearance to work in the UK for the hours described

  • Riverside Medical Practice is based in Musselburgh, close to both Edinburgh city centre and the beaches of East Lothian. We’re a busy surgery with 20,000 patients, located in an area with significant health inequality.
  • This is an exciting time to join our stable, 50 strong team, whose aim istoprovidethe best possible care to each individual patient with the resources we have available to us.
