£13.00 per hour Flexible Bank Shifts

St Andrew’s Care Home in Hawick is looking for a motivated and reliable Bank Chef to join our team on a flexible, as-needed basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef who enjoys preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals and wants the flexibility of bank work while making a real difference to the lives of our residents.

The Role

As our Bank Chef, you will:

• Prepare and cook fresh, nutritious meals for our residents.
• Cater for a variety of dietary requirements, allergies, and special diets.
• Ensure high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen safety.
• Monitor food stock and assist with ordering and stock rotation.
• Work closely with the care team to provide an enjoyable dining experience for residents.
• Follow all Food Safety, HACCP, and Health & Safety regulations.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience as a chef or cook.
• Holds a Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or above is desirable).
• Is passionate about providing quality meals.
• Can work independently and as part of a team.
• Is reliable, flexible, and organised.
• Has a caring and positive attitude.
