Senior Developer – Java & React, Glasgow

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and evolve trading, risk management and regulatory platforms to support investment banking.
  • Collaborate with traders, strategists, compliance and IT to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
  • Implement new features, enhancements and functionalities on trading platforms to improve performance, reliability and user experience.
  • Maintain high performance trading platforms, risk systems and applications.
  • Stay updated on technological advancements, industry trends and best practices to drive innovation.
  • Address system issues and implement solutions in partnership with cross functional business aligned teams.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong full stack engineering with backend depth and UI ownership.
  • Hands on problem solving in complex enterprise environments.
  • Data driven development and system traceability.
  • Experience with Cloud & DevOps concepts.
  • Testing and quality mindset.
  • Effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of risk and controls highly valued.
