Job Description
Job Title: Training Support Co ordinator (Navy Firefighting Unit)
Location: Paisley, Scotland. This full time role (40 hours per week) requires eligibility for UK Security Clearance at SC level.
What you will be doing
- Support the delivery of theoretical and practical marine firefighting training instruction
- Once qualified, become an Instructor and carry out training directly
- Act as Safety Officer for practical firefighting training
- Act as Control Room Operator, monitoring safety systems and controlling fire compartment settings and parameters
- Ensure all training equipment, areas and classrooms are correctly prepared prior to use
- Provide First Aid response (training provided)
- Implement and enforce health, safety and environmental procedures
- Maintain documentation, test and calibration records
What we’re looking for Essential Skills
- Previous experience within Navy or Fire Service (ideally Royal Navy)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Team player
- Physically fit and able to wear breathing apparatus and work in extremely hot conditions
- Proficiency in using IT within the workplace
Desirable Skills
- Experience or knowledge of submarines
