Water Technician – Level 1

Job Description

ROLE: Water Technician – Level 1
HOURS: 40 hours per week
LOCATION: Glasgow, UK

Role Responsibilities

• This includes all tasks of a Level 1 Technician:
  • TMV valve servicing both failsafe and strip down
  • Cleaning of the cooling towers & tanks (2nd person)
  • Tank inspections
  • Temperature monitoring and accurate recording of results
  • Sampling of domestic systems and accurate submission to the laboratory
  • Descaling and cleaning of showers & shower heads
  • Flushing of little used outlets
• Complete allocated jobs within the agreed timescales.
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately and submit on the electronic system in live time.
• Carry out tasks allocated to you in accordance with all method statements and the fundamental rules of Marlowe Environmental Services.
• Must not exceed one audit failure per year.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.

• Strong basic water treatment knowledge with the ability to apply analytical, problem solving and sound decision making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication, good literacy, and strong client service skills.
• Excellent time management and administration abilities, including confidence using phone or tablet apps in line with our systems.
• Demonstrates excellent time keeping, cultural awareness, sound work ethics and the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
• Holds a valid UK Driving Licence and meets compliant DBS and customer specific security check requirements.
