We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and team orientated Podiatrist to join our small rural team providing podiatric interventions to the population of Shetland.
The post is based at Lerwick health centre, with other clinics held at the Gilbert Bain hospital, Independent Living Centre (ILC), outlying health centres, domiciliary visits and care homes. Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.
The post holder will also have the opportunity to work in specialist clinics, namely MSK, diabetes and wound care and rotational nail surgery clinics. This is an exciting post also open to recent graduates who may wish to increase their clinical skills.
We are seeking an individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a team player. The Podiatry Service is a very busy department and the successful candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to organise workloads in a timely and efficient manner.
There are excellent personal development opportunities and the post holder will be encouraged and supported in CPD and service improvement activities.
Rise to the challenge and enjoy the opportunity – Shetland is a wonderful place to live and work. Shetland offers low pollution, low crime, excellent schools, great leisure facilities, unique wildlife and amazing scenery, whilst still only a short flight away from the UK mainland.
