Responsibilities

  • Obtain blood samples from patients by venepuncture, ensuring patient and personal safety by adhering to Divisional Protocols, Policies, Procedures and relevant Health and Safety legislation at all times.
  • Ensure correct labeling of blood samples in preparation for being forwarded to the laboratory for testing.
  • Provide cover in the absence of nursing/medical staff to ensure collections are taken.
