Retail Supervisor – Full Time
We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Annan, Dumfries and Galloway. This is a permanent full time position of 39 hours per week, 5 days, with flexible working across the week including weekends.
Pay & Benefits
- Hours: 39 per week (5 days)
- Pay: £13.61 per hour (minimum £530 per week); overtime may be available.
- Holiday: 30 days per year (6 weeks)

Responsibilities
- Support the manager and the team to run an efficient shop and provide excellent customer service.
- Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customer service, quick deliveries, and shop routines are completed safely and cleanly.
- Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders, and develop the retail assistant team.
- Control operational costs including shrinkage, waste, and payroll.
Requirements
- Friendly, positive, hard working approach.
- People-oriented, building strong relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Trustworthy and reliable, dependable for a small team.
- Some experience as a supervisor, team leader, or manager in retail or a similar industry (not essential).
- Ability to complete a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check if hired.
