Island Nurse – Hoy

Job Description

The Position

We are looking for a Band 6 Island Nurse to join our team on Hoy. The role is full time, 36 hours per week, fixed-term until 25 January 2027, supporting the 24/7 healthcare services of the Hoy GP practice.

The Candidate

Applicants should be adaptable, resourceful, professionally accountable and able to work autonomously without the resource of a hospital. Responsibilities include assessment, planning and monitoring of health care quality in the community, and community and practice nursing duties.

Qualifications: Experience as a Band 6 nurse, forward-thinking and highly motivated, up-to-date clinical knowledge. A non-medical prescribing qualification is essential.

Base: Hoy GP Practice. Work: Full time, 36 hours per week. Contract: Fixed-term until 25 January 2027.
