Job Description

About The Role

Days of working: Monday to Friday – 8am to 5pm

Main Purpose

To ensure the safe, satisfactory performance and further development of all contracts and accounts for which the post holder is responsible, including:

  • Ensuring planned preventative and reactive maintenance are carried out to the correct specification, with regard to both frequency and quality.
  • Organising and managing the mechanical and electrical maintenance schedule in compliance with current legislation and as detailed in the CAFM system.
  • Co ordinating external maintenance contractors to ensure mechanical, electrical, and building fabric maintenance schedules are carried out in accordance with current legislation and the CAFM system.
  • Maintaining client satisfaction and the quality of service provided.
  • Ensuring tools, equipment, and materials are available as and when required to support effective service delivery.
  • Assisting with subcontractor management and monitoring.
  • Being prepared to work overtime where required to support the contract.
  • Taking ownership of all facilities related tasks on contracted sites, including regular interface with contractors such as cleaners, ground maintenance, electrical, mechanical, etc.
  • Assisting the supervisor with project planning. These duties and responsibilities may be amended in accordance with the needs of the company; the holder may be required to provide support to other posts as workload and working patterns change.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Formal technical education in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
  • A full driving licence.
  • Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety principles, including risk assessment and COSHH.
  • Good IT and computer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to form relationships with clients and exceed customer expectations.
  • Consistent delivery to a high standard and a proactive approach to improving working practices and processes to meet business needs.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.
