E&I Technician – Grangemouth
NRL is looking for an experienced E&I Technician to join a maintenance team based in Grangemouth.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safe maintenance of all equipment, complying with HSE standards, legislation, and the company Safety Charter.
- Carry out technical appraisal of new and emergent work requests to define remediation scope.
- Execute all work in line with permit-to-work systems, work packs, procedures, and agreed schedules.
- Perform fault finding, diagnose issues, and identify cost effective solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Support predictive and preventative maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and availability.
- Conduct dynamic risk assessments (RA) before and during all tasks.
- Complete all required quality assurance (QA) documentation in line with work packs and procedures.
- Plan and schedule own preventative maintenance (PM) activities.
- Carry out condition monitoring on plant and equipment.
- Report delays or issues to the Supervisor to maximise team productivity and efficiency.
- Assess readiness of upcoming work scopes and take action to resolve any issues.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards, ensuring work areas are left in a safe and acceptable condition.
- Ensure all ATEX equipment in hazardous areas is inspected and maintained in line with legislation across its lifecycle.
- Undertake basic rigging and lifting activities, including producing method statements and risk assessments where required.
- Support and carry out mechanical tasks where needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
- SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering and Instrument & Control Engineering (or equivalent).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including:
- P&IDs
- Electrical schematics
- Instrument loop drawings
- Desirable:
- HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- HNC in Measurement & Control Engineering (or equivalent).
- CompEx 01-04 certification.
- Experience working on a top-tier COMAH site.
