Job Description

Reed Finance is partnering with a leading organisation to recruit a Senior Management Accountant to join their established finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded and analytically strong finance professional to play a key role in supporting a significant development and investment programme. There is a requirement to be in the office only one day per week.

This role sits at the centre of a large-scale new build and development function, providing financial oversight, appraisal and insight to support strategic decision-making. You’ll work closely with Development teams, Financial Planning and senior stakeholders, ensuring accurate, timely and insightful reporting across the programme.

This is a highly visible role with exposure to Executive and Board-level stakeholders, offering the opportunity to influence key investment and business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial appraisal and monitoring of the development and new build programme
  • Partner with Development teams to evaluate new project opportunities and investment cases
  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts and reporting packs with detailed commentary
  • Produce budgets, forecasts and long-term business plans, including development projections
  • Provide financial insight, KPIs and trend analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Contribute to Executive and Board reporting, delivering clear and concise financial analysis
  • Take ownership of statutory accounts, liaising with external auditors and advisors
  • Monitor development spend against budget, identifying risks, variances and key drivers
  • Ensure strong financial controls, compliance and reporting consistency
  • Continuously improve processes, reporting and financial oversight frameworks

About you:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with strong post-qualified experience
  • Proven experience in management reporting within a complex group environment
  • Strong background in statutory accounts preparation and external audit liaison
  • Experience producing Board and Executive-level reporting
  • Demonstrable experience in financial appraisal and capital project evaluation
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial controls
  • Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to influence and challenge effectively
