Psychotherapist
Location: The Shires – Oakham LE15 6JB
Salary: up to £53,000 full time equivalent based upon experience
Hours: 22.5 hours per week, 3 days a week, days to be confirmed
Contract: Permanent – Term Time only
Essential: Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
About the role: We are looking for an experienced Psychotherapist to join our developing Clinical Team at The Shires – Oakham. You will collaborate to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and emotional needs. Your duties will include implementing a holistic therapeutic approach, ensuring pupils are safe, comfortable and healthy, carrying out specialist individual assessments, preparing reports, and supporting the onsite clinical team to evolve the service provision. The multidisciplinary Clinical Team fosters a nurturing environment where pupils can flourish, and we maintain a strong safeguarding culture.
Qualifications:
- Evidence of recognised professional qualification as Psychotherapist (Level 7 or above)
- Registered member of HCPC
- Integrative therapist, CBT informed
- Not newly qualified, more than 2 years’ experience
- Specialist education setting experience or working therapeutically within a school/child and adolescent – preferred
- Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
- Experience of working with people with neurodivergence and/or complex needs (e.g., complex trauma, neurodevelopmental differences, mental health needs)
- Ability to work independently as agreed under supervision
- Experience of multi professional work teams or services within designated speciality
- Evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the setting
- Full valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
