Connect Appointments is recruiting a Sewing Machine Operative to join a small, well-established textile manufacturing business based in Glenrothes.
Our client is a family-owned business with over 30 years of history, producing premium textile products for major UK retailers and hospitality businesses from their Glenrothes facility. This is a small, close-knit team where the right attitude and willingness to build a long-term career matters as much as experience.
What’s on offer?
- Temporary position moving to permanent after 12 weeks
- Monday to Wednesday, 7:45am to 7:55pm and Thursday, 7:45am to 5:25pm
- £12.71 per hour – rising on moving to permanent employment
As a Sewing Machine Operative, your duties will include:
- Operating industrial sewing machines to produce and finish textile products to a consistently high standard
- Working accurately to meet production specifications and quality requirements
- Supporting general production duties across the facility
- Maintaining a clean and organised working environment
To be considered as a Sewing Machine Operative, you will need:
- Previous experience operating industrial sewing machines is advantageous
- A reliable, conscientious approach to work with good attention to detail
- The ability to work well within a small, close-knit team
- A genuine interest in building a long-term career within a skilled textile manufacturing environment
