The role

The ESP Support Secretary will provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Extended Scope Practitioner (ESP) clinical team within the Institute of Neurosciences. The role requires someone proactive, self motivated, enthusiastic, reliable, and able to work both independently and as part of a busy clinical team. The role is based within the Institute of Neurosciences, working in a fast paced clinical environment where flexibility and effective workload prioritisation are essential.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern

  • Full time, Permanent
  • Base location – Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
  • Shift Pattern – Monday Friday 8 30

Key responsibilities

  • Providing secretarial support to the ESP clinical team
  • Managing waiting lists
  • Prioritising workload in a fast paced environment
  • Working independently without close supervision
  • Supporting the smooth operation of clinical services through strong organisation and communication

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required

  • Proven secretarial experience
  • Experience managing waiting lists
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good working knowledge of NHSGGC IT systems and applications
